Welcome to BrickForever! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BrickForever LEGO set borrowing service operated in Seattle, Washington. By creating an account or borrowing sets from BrickForever, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

BrickForever is a community-based LEGO set lending service. We allow registered members to borrow LEGO sets for a specified period, build and enjoy them, and return them for others to enjoy. Our service operates on a "Build More. Buy Less. Store Nothing." philosophy.

2. Eligibility

To use BrickForever, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent
• Reside in or near the Seattle, Washington metropolitan area
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Have a valid email address and phone number
• Agree to these Terms of Service

3. Account Registration

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information as needed
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Membership Tiers

BrickForever offers the following membership options:

Paid memberships are billed monthly via Venmo. You may cancel at any time, and your membership will remain active until the end of your billing period.

5. Deposits

A refundable deposit of $20 is required for each borrowing transaction. This deposit:

• Is collected at the time of pickup (cash or Venmo)
• Is fully refunded when the set is returned complete and undamaged
• May be partially or fully retained if pieces are missing or damaged
• Is separate from any membership fees

6. Borrowing Rules

When borrowing a LEGO set, you agree to:

• Handle all pieces with care and keep them in a clean, dry environment
• Not modify, paint, glue, or permanently alter any pieces
• Keep all pieces together and track them carefully
• Return sets within your allowed borrowing period
• Include all pieces, instruction booklets, and original packaging when returning
• Report any missing or damaged pieces immediately
• Not sublend sets to others

7. Returns and Late Fees

Sets must be returned by your due date. Late returns are subject to the following fees:

We send reminder emails before your due date. If you need an extension, please contact us before your due date. Extensions are subject to availability and may not always be possible.

8. Missing or Damaged Pieces

We understand accidents happen. Our policy for missing or damaged pieces:

• Minor losses (1-5 pieces): We may be able to replace these at no cost
• Significant losses: A fee based on replacement cost may be charged
• Severe damage or loss: Up to the full retail value of the set may be charged
• Intentional damage: May result in account suspension and full replacement cost

Please always report issues honestly and promptly. We appreciate transparency and will work with you to find fair solutions.

9. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are prohibited and may result in account termination:

• Providing false information during registration or borrowing
• Selling, trading, or attempting to keep borrowed sets
• Repeatedly returning sets with missing pieces
• Intentionally damaging sets
• Harassing staff or other members
• Using the service for commercial purposes
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limitations

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Failure to return sets or pay fees
• Repeated late returns
• Fraudulent activity
• Any behavior that harms the community

You may close your account at any time by contacting us, provided you have returned all borrowed sets and have no outstanding fees.

11. Limitation of Liability

BrickForever provides sets "as is" and makes no warranties regarding:

• The completeness of any set (though we verify before lending)
• The condition of pieces beyond normal wear
• Availability of specific sets
• Uninterrupted service

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BrickForever shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service.

12. Privacy

We collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using BrickForever, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through our service. Your continued use of BrickForever after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
